Job summary

Vieco Pharmaceuticals in Dubai invites an experienced Formulation Scientist to join the R&D team. You will lead pre-formulation, formulation development for oral, semi-solid, and liquid dosage forms, and ensure robust analytical methods.

The role requires a Bachelor or Master in Pharmacy and 5+ years in pharma, with hands-on experience in QMS workflows such as Ample Logic. The position is on-site at JAFZA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or Master of Pharmacy required.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical field.
• Experience in R&D is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-formulation studies including physicochemical characterization, solubility and stability screening.
• Perform formulation development for solid, semisolid, and liquid dosage forms including trial batches.
• Validate analytical methods and prepare final reports.
• Perform recovery studies and cleaning validation per SOPs.
• Analyse raw materials as required and calibrate instruments.
• Prepare development stability protocols and final reports.
• Report and participate in OOS and NCR investigations via the QMS.
• Handle deviations and CAPAs via the QMS.
• Prepare SOPs on the QMS modules.
• Document pre-formulation, formulation, and analytical characterization in development reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-formulation studies including physicochemical characterization, solubility, stability screening, and compatibility assessment of APIs and excipients.
• Perform formulation development studies for oral solid, semisolid, and liquid dosage forms, including trial batches and optimization runs.
• Perform analytical method validation studies, protocols, and final reports.
• Perform recovery studies and execute cleaning validation and verification runs.
• Analyse raw materials as required.
• Perform physicochemical testing of samples during product development per approved SOPs.
• Perform analytical transfer analysis per respective protocols.
• Prepare and execute development stability protocols and final reports.
• Perform chemical and physical testing at development stability time points.
• Calibrate instruments per work instructions to ensure compliance with standards.
• Issue and sign specifications and test certificates.
• Prepare and document pre-formulation, formulation, and analytical characterization in the respective product development report.
• Report and participate in OOS and NCR investigations via Ample Logic e QMS.
• Handle deviations, lab incident reports, and CAPAs via Ample Logic e QMS.
• Prepare SOPs on Ample Logic e DMS.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned
