Position Title: Renewable / Power Risk Engineer

Location: Dubai, UAE

Contract Type: Expat, Tax-Free

Start Date: January / February 2026

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Risk Engineer to join our Dubai-based team, specialising in conventional and renewable power generation facilities. This role involves conducting risk engineering surveys, providing technical leadership, and supporting the development of new services and products in the power sector. The successful candidate will work across the Middle East and North Africa region, engaging with operational and construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct risk engineering surveys across conventional power (gas, oil, coal) and renewable energy facilities
  • Lead surveys for both operational and construction phases of power generation projects
  • Support development of new risk engineering services and products
  • Assist with RFPs and business development activities
  • Provide technical leadership and training to junior risk engineers and brokers
  • Travel regionally as required (KSA, Oman, Pakistan, Morocco)
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years’ industrial experience in conventional power generation
  • At least 1 year of prior experience as a risk engineer for a broker or insurer, leading surveys
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to travel freely within the region
Desirable / Optional
  • Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g., IMechE, EI)
  • Fluency in Arabic or French
  • Experience in renewable power generation
