Job summary

Zero Energy Contracting in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Senior Distributed Transaction Specialist to design and optimize distributed transaction systems across enterprise applications. You will drive consistency, concurrency control, and fault-tolerant architectures in a fully remote setup.

You will implement 2PC, Saga patterns, monitor performance, and collaborate with engineering, database, and platform teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years in distributed systems or backend engineering.
• Experience with 2PC, Saga patterns, and eventual consistency.
• Proficient in Java, C#, or Go and cloud-native tech.
• Remote work ability and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize distributed transaction workflows across microservices and enterprise systems.
• Implement transaction management strategies including 2PC and Saga patterns and eventual consistency.
• Diagnose failures, deadlocks, data inconsistencies, and distributed coordination issues.
• Optimize transaction throughput, latency, reliability, and resource utilization.
• Develop recovery, rollback, retry, and idempotency mechanisms to maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate with software engineering, database, and platform teams to improve system architecture.
• Monitor transaction performance and investigate production incidents using logs, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Establish technical standards and documentation for transaction processing, consistency, and fault recovery.
