Job summary

Synthires is seeking a Software Engineer (Open Source Contributor) for a remote, worldwide contractor role. You will craft realistic coding challenges that train AI systems and build reproducible RL environments with deterministic verifiers.

Proficiency in Python, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript is expected. No prior AI experience is required, and onboarding begins after selection.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience in at least one language such as Python, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript.
• Experience building scalable services and APIs.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and core computer science concepts.
• Proficiency in debugging, automated testing, and performance optimization.
• Experience with code review, bug fixing, and feature implementation.
• Clear technical communication and problem-solving skills.
• Open-source contribution history and a profile showcasing your work, preferably on GitHub, or willingness to complete a HackerRank assessment.

Responsibilities

• Create challenging coding tasks based on realistic software engineering scenarios.
• Build reproducible reinforcement learning environments with golden reference solutions.
• Develop deterministic verifiers that accept valid solutions and reject incorrect ones.
• Debug complex software defects and optimize performance across diverse codebases.
• Implement scalable, maintainable features and refactor legacy code.
