Job summary

Quik Hire Staffing is seeking a PHP Back End Developer for a remote contract role to implement and maintain core backend services for high-traffic web applications. You will develop server-side logic to ensure scalability and performance.

Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate APIs, write clean PHP, and optimize code while working in Linux environments with Git, Redis, and Memcached in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of PHP development experience with PHP 7.x or 8.x.
• Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or Code Igniter.
• Proficiency in MySQL or PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of server environments (Linux/Unix) and deployment workflows.
• Experience with caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached) and background job processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PHP-based backend services and APIs to support web application functionality.
