Job summary

Zeriq Cyber Security is seeking a Remote Junior Cybersecurity Cryptography Analyst to support encryption, certificates, and cryptographic practices across enterprise systems.

You will review configurations, monitor lifecycles, document encryption requirements, and assist with identifying weaknesses in how sensitive information is protected. You will collaborate with security engineering, infrastructure, and application teams to sustain strong cryptographic practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor\'s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, or related field.
• Basic understanding of encryption, hashing, digital signatures, and public-key cryptography.
• Familiarity with networking and information security concepts.
• Awareness of TLS, digital certificates, and secure communication protocols.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good technical documentation and communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and careful handling of sensitive information.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing encryption configurations across applications, servers, and cloud environments.
• Support inventory and tracking of digital certificates and expiration dates.
• Identify outdated or weak cryptographic protocols and configurations.
• Review TLS configurations and certificate deployment practices.
• Maintain documentation covering encryption requirements and cryptographic standards.
• Support assessments of data encryption at rest and in transit.
• Investigate certificate-related security alerts and configuration issues.
• Collaborate with technical teams to track remediation of identified weaknesses.
• Assist with reviewing key management procedures and access restrictions.
• Support compliance reviews involving encryption and data protection requirements.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate records of assessment findings.
• Escalate potential cryptographic risks to senior security personnel.
