Job summary

RemoteJobsOne is seeking a Director of Infrastructure Engineering to lead the multi-cloud platform that powers production AI systems. You will own strategy, architecture and reliability practices across AWS and GCP, while mentoring engineers and shaping a strong ownership culture.

You will define incident response, SLOs, disaster recovery, and cost-conscious design, partnering with Security and Engineering leaders to maintain compliance in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 8 years building and operating production infrastructure and platform engineering.
• 3 years leading engineering teams in high-growth settings.
• Deep expertise with AWS, GCP or multi-cloud environments.
• Strong experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, containers and modern CI/CD.
• Proven experience building highly available, observable and resilient systems.
• Security, compliance and risk management are well understood.
• Experience scaling engineering organizations in fast-moving startups.
• Excellent communication with executives and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and evolution of multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
• Lead and grow a high-performing Infrastructure/Platform team with strong culture.
• Build infrastructure as code with Terraform ensuring reproducible environments.
• Design and improve CI/CD systems for fast, secure software delivery.
• Build observability with metrics, logs, traces and alerting.
• Define reliability practices: incident response, SLOs, disaster recovery.
• Partner with Security and Engineering to ensure security by default and compliance.
• Improve developer experience via automation and tooling.
