Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor (QS) with expertise in both Civil and Mechanical disciplines to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction and mechanical engineering projects, providing cost estimation, cost control, and procurement services across the full project lifecycle. You will be responsible for managing project costs, performing value engineering, preparing and reviewing tender documents, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.

  1. Key Responsibilities:
  2. Preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents.
  3. Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices and terms.
  4. Managing project budgets, including forecasting and monitoring costs.
  5. Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all project-related costs and financial transactions.
  6. Provide expert advice on procurement, risk management and cost-saving measures.
  7. Prepare pricing sheets after receiving the drawings.

  • Educational Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience:
    Minimum 8 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Civil and Mechanical sectors.
    • Hands-on experience in managing project costs for large-scale construction and mechanical projects.
    • Experience in preparing and managing cost estimates, tender documents, and contract negotiations.

  • Skills & Competencies:
    Strong knowledge of construction practices, mechanical systems, and industry standards.
    • Proficient in using Quantity Surveying software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
