The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This position requires an individual who can expertly navigate through the complexities of project costing, procurement, and contract administration. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing advice and support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that budgets are adhered to and that financial targets are met.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
  • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering throughout project phases.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures to minimize financial risks.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiate contracts.
  • Track variations and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to align financial objectives.
  • Prepare interim and final payment certificates in accordance with contract terms.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction costs, market trends, and regulations.
  • Assist in dispute resolution and claims management as required.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniques.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and building codes.
  • Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIQS) is a plus.
