Job summary

A leading construction consultancy in Dubai is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to provide cost management and consultancy services for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, preferably in the Middle East, and will be proficient in cost estimation software. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential for this role, which is not open to remote work.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization you will play a crucial role in providing expert cost management and consultancy services for various construction projects across the region.

• Monitor and report on project costs including cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete estimates
• Identify and mitigate potential cost risks throughout the project lifecycle
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to ensure best value for clients
• Prepare monthly cost reports and presentations for clients and project stakeholders
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects engineers and project managers

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Construction Management or a related field
• Professional certification from a recognized institution (e.g. RICS AACE International) an advantage
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost consultancy.
• Previous experiencein the Middle East region is essential.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g. CostX) and Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients contractors and team members
• In-depth knowledge of construction industry standards practices and current market rates
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Fluency in English
