Job Title - Quantity Surveyor
About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage all cost-related aspects of construction projects, ensuring effective cost control, accurate budgeting, and timely financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Planning & Estimation
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQs).
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine project costs.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Contract & Commercial Management
- Assist in preparation, review, and administration of contracts and subcontracts.
- Evaluate variations, claims, and change orders in coordination with project teams.
- Support negotiation and finalization of contractor and supplier agreements.
- Procurement & Payments
- Coordinate with procurement teams for material pricing and supplier evaluations.
- Review and certify interim and final payment applications.
- Track commitments, variations, and cash flow forecasts.
- Project Cost Control & Reporting
- Maintain accurate cost records and financial reports.
- Prepare monthly cost reports highlighting budget status and variances.
- Provide commercial insights and recommendations to support project decisions.
- Coordination & Compliance
- Liaise with engineers, consultants, and site teams to ensure commercial alignment.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms, company policies, and industry standards.
- Support project close-out activities and final account settlements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in construction and engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of BOQs, cost estimation, and contract administration.
- Experience with residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects preferred.
