Job summary

Innovo Group in Dubai is seeking a Quality Engineer to implement and supervise QA/QC on MEP projects, ensuring installations meet specifications, codes, and the project quality plan. You will lead inspections, manage NCRs, and support documentation.

The role emphasizes driving continuous improvement through audits, training, and the introduction of modern tools to increase efficiency while preserving quality and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 4-6 years of quality engineering experience in MEP construction.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, project quality plans, ITPs, and MEP quality standards.
• Experience with MIRs, WIRs, NCRs, method statements, quality checklists, and handover dossiers.

Responsibilities

• Implement the project quality plan and inspection and test plans (ITPs) for MEP works.
• Conduct quality inspections at key construction milestones.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and verify corrective actions.
• Analyze NCR trends and recommend preventive measures to the Quality Manager.
• Maintain quality records, inspection checklists, and test certificates.
• Compile quality close-out documentation and handover dossiers for completed work packages.
• Support quality awareness training for site personnel and subcontractors.
• Develop toolbox talk materials on common quality defects and prevention methods.
• Support internal and client/consultant quality audits by preparing evidence and records.
• Track audit findings through to close-out with the relevant site teams.
• Introduce modern tools, technologies and processes that improve efficiency and transparency.
• Encourage innovative thinking to enhance outcomes and reduce costs without compromising quality.

Key Accountabilities

Quality Implementation

• Implement the project quality plan and inspection and test plans (ITPs) for MEP works.
• Conduct quality inspections at key construction milestones.
• Non-Conformance Management
• Raise and track non-conformance reports (NCRs); verify corrective actions are implemented.
• Analyse recurring NCR trends and recommend preventive measures to the Quality Manager.

Documentation

• Maintain quality records, inspection checklists, and test certificates.
• Compile quality close-out documentation and handover dossiers for completed work packages.

Training Support

• Support quality awareness training for site personnel and subcontractors.
• Develop toolbox talk materials on common quality defects and prevention methods.

Audit Coordination

• Support internal and client/consultant quality audits by preparing evidence and records.
• Track audit findings through to close-out with the relevant site teams.

Innovation & Value Creation

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 4-6 years of quality engineering experience in MEP construction
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, project quality plans, ITPs, and MEP quality standards
• Experience with MIRs, WIRs, NCRs, method statements, quality checklists, and handover dossiers
• Good understanding of MEP systems, construction sequencing, testing requirements, and consultant inspection processes
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor certification is preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and follow-up skills
