Job summary

The Product Quality Engineer at ATOM Insurance ensures the reliability and quality of the platform across complex end-to-end workflows. The role blends functional and technical testing across frontend interfaces, APIs and data layers in a fast-moving SaaS environment.

You will maintain and evolve automated regression suites, validate business-critical workflows, support rapid releases and apply AI-assisted testing to boost coverage, speed and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in QA/Quality Engineering within SaaS, platform-based or complex system environments.
• Strong experience testing both frontend and backend systems, including APIs, integrations and data flows.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Experience working with relational databases, including SQL queries and PostgreSQL data validation.
• Experience maintaining regression test suites, test scripts and structured QA documentation.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Product Owners, engineers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing across user journeys, configurations and business-critical processes.
• Perform API testing and validate backend integrations, services and data flows.
• Work with databases, including PostgreSQL, to validate data accuracy, integrity and expected system behaviour.
• Test backend processes and integrations alongside frontend functionality to ensure end-to-end quality.
• Maintain and improve in-house automated regression suites and reusable test scripts.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and continuously improve quality practices across the platform.
• Contribute to test strategy, test planning, quality standards and release readiness activities.
• Use AI-assisted testing tools and modern QA practices to improve efficiency, coverage and problem solving.
• Work closely with Product Owners, engineers and stakeholders to understand requirements, risks and acceptance criteria.
• Support rapid release cycles with reliable, repeatable testing processes and clear communication.
• Perform root cause analysis, support defect investigation and help engineering teams resolve issues quickly.

Job description

The Product Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability and quality of the ATOM platform across complex, end-to-end workflows. This role combines functional and technical testing, working across frontend interfaces, backend APIs and data layers to validate system behaviour in a complex SaaS environment.

This is a hands-on quality role for someone who is product-aware, technically confident and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment. The role is responsible for maintaining and evolving automated regression suites, validating business-critical workflows, supporting rapid releases, and using modern tools - including AI-assisted testing - to improve speed, coverage and efficiency.

Functional & Technical Testing

• Design and execute test scenarios across frontend, APIs and data layers
