Job summary

A leading FMCG company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Controller to join their operations. Responsibilities include conducting quality checks on materials and products, monitoring compliance with food safety standards, and maintaining documentation and reports on inspections. Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree and at least 3 years of experience in Quality Control within the FMCG sector, alongside strong analytical and communication skills. Training provided to staff on quality standards is part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in a similar Quality Control/Assurance role within the FMCG sector.
• Hands-on experience with HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and other food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure quality standards are met.
• Monitor compliance with GMP, HACCP, and ISO standards.
• Perform lab testing, sampling, and sensory evaluations to ensure adherence to product specifications.
• Collaborate with production and packaging departments to ensure corrective actions are taken when quality deviations are detected.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and reports on inspections, audits, and non-conformances.
• Ensure hygiene and sanitation protocols are followed in all stages of production.
• Assist in internal and external audits, supporting quality certifications and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide training to production staff on quality standards and safety measures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in a similar Quality Control/Assurance role within the FMCG sector.
• Hands-on experience with HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and other food safety standards.
• Strong analytical and observational skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with QC tools and equipment.
