Job summary

Hempel in Sharjah, UAE, is seeking an Associate QC Lab professional to ensure finished products and raw materials meet batch specifications. You will support the QC lab, maintain 6S in the lab, and ensure tests align with Hempel procedures.

The role reports to the Laboratory Manager and requires a degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, polymer/paint tech, plus 2–5 years in manufacturing quality control. Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, polymer/paint technology or related.
• 2–5 years experience in a manufacturing/quality control environment.
• Computer skills (MS Office incl. Excel/Outlook) and other applications as required.
• Able to communicate with co-workers to provide and receive direction.
• Able to work independently and under pressure.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of Quality Control Techniques.
• Team player with positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Control consistency and uniformity of finished products and raw materials against batch cards and RMDS.
• Maintain quality control data records and support QC lab activities.
• Maintain 6S in the lab and keep sample areas organized.
• Adhere to E-Convention QMS and EMS requirements.
• Test production batches to ensure compliance with procedures and specifications.
• Record and report deviated or defective batches to the manager.
• Assist in testing incoming raw materials per procedures.
• Ensure safe and healthy work environment per policies.
