SGS in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior QC Inspector for Oil & Gas construction to conduct organized inspections on site, ensuring compliance with inspection plans and quality records. Offshore experience is mandatory, with ADNOC approvals preferred.

The role requires a engineering diploma or degree and 8+ years in oil & gas construction, with familiarity in QC surveillance for onshore/offshore EPC projects and relevant electrical certifications (ATEX, CompEx, etc.).

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of relevant Oil & Gas construction experience.
• Mandatory offshore experience.
• Electrical certifications (ATEX, CompEx, etc.) preferred.
• Familiar with QC surveillance in onshore/offshore EPC projects.

Responsabilités

• Organize and execute inspection jobs with professionalism.
• Execute inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
• Issue Quality Records and non-conformance reports to QC Supervisor when necessary.
• Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan and verify procedures and equipment.
• Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
• Verify processes and workers’ qualifications for relevant inspections.
• Inspect power transformers, switchgear, batteries, sockets, lighting, RTUs, instruments, cables, and related components.
• Perform visual inspections and dimensional tests and verify ratings and materials.

Job Description

• Organize and execute inspection jobs with professionalism.
• Execute the specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
• Issue the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to QC Supervisor non-conformances reports.
• Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls, and inspections, manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections.
• Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
• Verify special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications.
• Check power transformers, switchboard, accumulator battery, sockets outlet, lighting system, Remote terminal unit, instruments, cables, tunings etc.
• Perform visual inspections, dimensional test, check rating and material for connection.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in Oil and Gas construction sector.
• Previous ADNOC approvals Preferable but not mandatory
• Mandatory Offshore Experience.
• Electrical certifications ( ATEX , CompEx, Etc., ) Mandatory
• Familiar with applicable engineering standards and codes that will be used during QC surveillance activities in onshore and offshore fabrication/ Construction/ EPC projects.
