Job summary

A leading global inspection company based in Abu Dhabi is looking for an experienced Inspector in the Oil & Gas sector. The role involves inspecting piping fabrication, welding, and ensuring compliance with various standards. Candidates should have at least 5 years of industry experience and an engineering diploma. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, focusing on construction and source inspection.
  • Experience with underground non‑metallic piping, especially HDPE piping.
  • Valid CICPA and other ADNOC Offshore training preferred.

Job Description

Inspect piping fabrication, erection, welding, fit-up, and alignment activities.

Verify materials (pipes, fittings, flanges, valves) against approved Material Take-Off (MTO), specifications, and mill test certificates (MTC).

Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, B31.1, API, ASTM, and project specifications.

Review and monitor Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and welder qualifications.

Conduct visual inspection of welding activities and coordinate NDT (RT, UT, PT, MT).

Monitor hydrostatic and pneumatic testing activities and ensure proper documentation.

Ensure proper installation of supports, expansion loops, and spring hangers as per drawings.

Inspect painting, coating, insulation, and wrapping works related to piping.

Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs, and verify corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain inspection records, daily reports, and quality documentation.

Participate in internal audits, client inspections, and pre-commissioning activities.

Ensure compliance with HSE requirements during all inspection activities.

Qualifications
  • Having a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, covering construction and source inspection.
  • Previous experience with underground non‑metallic piping systems, with specific emphasis on HDPE piping, Hydro testing, reinstatement etc.
  • Engineering Diploma in a relevant discipline.
  • Should well versed in Site inspection activities, documentation and handover
  • Previous ADNOC Experience is preferred
  • Valid CICPA and other ADNOC Offshore training
