Job description

Middle East Executive has been retained to manage a confidential search project for a QA/QC Engineer for a leading chemical company based in Dubai. If you have minimum 2 years of experience as QA/QC this role is for you!

Responsibilities
  1. Process & Standards Compliance
    • Ensure all products, services, and operations comply with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain QA policies, procedures, and manuals.
  2. Testing & Inspection
    • Carry out inspections, audits, and testing of incoming and outgoing goods.
    • Detect defects, deviations, and non-conformities, and recommend corrective measures.
    • Define packing standards in coordination with procurement to meet global requirements.
    • Verify that inbound materials pass QC checks and are shipment ready.
    • Conduct pre-loading inspections at third-party warehouses.
    • Prepare Quality Assurance Reports (QAR) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for out-of-spec products.
    • Investigate NCRs with the technical team and submit detailed findings.
    • Participate in bulk loading at supplier/third-party sites to ensure compliance.
    • Periodically inspect production operations to verify adherence to SOPs.
    • Train team members on ERP matching procedures and resolve discrepancies.
    • Inspect consignments according to supplier grades.
    • Confirm that loading matches sales orders and prevent cargo damage.
    • Supervise relabelling processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  3. Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate and updated QA records, reports, and certifications.
    • Document test results and share findings with relevant teams.
    • Track key quality metrics and generate periodic performance reports.
    • Monitor inventory levels and aging and revalidate product shelf life.
  4. Collaboration & Support
    • Work closely with operations, production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure quality compliance.
    • Support internal and external audit processes.
    • Assist the Senior Chemist in R&D, technical services, complaint resolution, QC, and revalidation activities.
  5. Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, minimize errors, and improve processes.
    • Implement Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans.
    • Support and deliver training programs on quality standards and procedures.
  6. Customer & Compliance Focus
    • Ensure customer specifications and expectations are consistently met.
    • Manage customer complaints by conducting root cause analysis and driving corrective actions.
    • Stay updated on industry regulations, certifications, and compliance requirements.
  7. Risk & Safety Management
    • Monitor and mitigate risks related to product quality and safety.
    • Ensure that workplace safety protocols are incorporated into quality assurance practices.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in QA/QC with Chemical Company
  • Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), QA/QC reports
  • Manage customer complaints
  • Implement Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans
  • ISO certification preferred not required
