Job description
The QA/QC Engineer

ensures that all construction and installation activities carried out by the company and its subcontractors meet the highest quality standards and fully comply with UAE regulations, technical specifications, and Client requirements. This position plays a key role in maintaining the company’s internal quality management system, ensuring continuous improvement, and upholding compliance with ISO 9001:2015, DMT, ADM, and Civil Defense standards across all project phases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Assurance and System Implementation

  • Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Quality Control Plan (QCP), and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) in alignment with company policy and client requirements
  • Ensure that all activities conducted by the company and subcontractors comply with approved drawings, specifications, UAE construction codes, and international standards
  • Conduct internal audits to verify compliance and promote continuous improvement
  • Review subcontractor quality documentation and provide technical feedback
  • Support project staff in understanding and implementing QA/QC procedures

Site Inspection and Testing

  • Carry out inspections for civil, structural, MEP, architectural, and finishing works
  • Verify material and equipment compliance with approved Material Approval Requests (MARs) and specifications
  • Issue and monitor Inspection Requests (IRs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and Corrective Action Reports (CARs) until closure
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) with suppliers
  • Maintain logs for inspection activities, test results, and QA/QC documentation

Documentation and Coordination

  • Maintain all QA/QC documentation through the company’s electronic document control systems (MePS, etc.) in accordance with ADM / DMT requirements
  • Ensure all as-built documentation is completed and verified before submission
  • Coordinate quality inspections with Clients, Consultants, Civil Defense, and other authorities
  • Prepare QA/QC monthly reports and performance summaries

Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions

  • Identify and report all non-conformities and deviations from specifications or standards
  • Initiate and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
  • Conduct root cause analyses to reduce rework and prevent recurring defects
  • Maintain records and ensure all NCRs and CARs are properly closed

Team and Coordination

  • Supervise junior QA/QC Engineers, Technicians, or Inspectors
  • Plan inspections and coordinate quality activities with site teams and subcontractors
  • Participate in site meetings, toolbox talks, and QA/QC briefings
  • Support the Document Control team in maintaining traceability and document integrity
Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Quality Engineering
  • Equivalency Certificate from the UAE Ministry of Education (mandatory)
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including 5 years in the UAE within the construction or engineering sector
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE codes, DMT, ADM, Civil Defense, and Estidama requirements
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, QA/QC procedures, FAT/SAT testing, and quality documentation
  • Experience in electronic document control platforms (Aconex, MePS, ProjectWise).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and Excel
  • Fluent in English (Upper-Intermediate or higher); Arabic is an advantage
