Job summary

Zand is seeking a QA Engineer to safeguard product quality across core and digital banking solutions. The role covers manual and automated testing for web and mobile platforms, with emphasis on end-to-end validation and integration health.

Responsibilities include designing test cases, executing tests, analyzing results, and guiding defect management while collaborating with developers and product teams to improve quality and delivery speed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• ISTQB/CSTE/CSQA/CAST or similar certification is required.
• 5+ years of software quality assurance experience (manual and automated).
• Hands-on testing of iOS and Android native mobile apps.
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, acceptance, performance, API, and microservices testing.
• Proficiency with automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, and K6.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter and K6.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Ability to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab).
• Strong troubleshooting and defect management skills.

Job Purpose:

The QA Engineer helps protect product quality across core and digital banking solutions by testing new and existing features, validating system integrations, and enabling fast, reliable delivery of enhancements and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents to identify gaps, ambiguities, and testing risks, while maintaining strong traceability to requirements.
• Design and maintain functional and automated test cases, test data, validation criteria, and reusable test scripts to improve coverage, efficiency, and quality.
• Execute manual and automated test suites, analyze outcomes, and document results clearly for stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Identify, analyze, and elevate defects and quality risks early by using application logs, analytics, and testing insights throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Plan and support end-to-end testing across all phases for new features, enhancements, integrations, and releases to ensure timely and complete coverage.
• Monitor application, server, and integration logs to investigate errors, failed transactions, and root causes, and work closely with developers on resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to reproduce issues, strengthen defect reporting, and continuously improve testing processes.

Key Skills, required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA, CAST, CMSQ, or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance across both manual and automated testing.
