Located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, Global Studies University was established in 2023 as a non‑profit higher education institution by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al‑Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
The OIE coordinates, facilitates, and advances assessment practices across the campus to support evidence‑based decision making and planning. It demonstrates the high quality of teaching, learning, research and publishing, and keeps abreast of best practices locally and globally. The OIE leads all aspects of quality assurance and enhancement, from monitoring strategic goals and supporting international accreditation to advancing continuous assessment and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The Quality Assurance Compliance Coordinator reports to the Director of the OIE and is responsible for ensuring that the university’s policies, procedures and practices align with all relevant accreditation standards. The role maintains the institution’s accreditation status, ensures administrative units operate within the UAE educational regulatory framework, and monitors quality enhancement across teaching, research and knowledge production. The coordinator develops mechanisms to keep each unit informed of regulatory expectations and implements a cyclical compliance monitoring schedule.
