The QHSE Specialist is fundamental to the success of our company, promoting a culture where safety always comes first, as well as ensuring systems are in place to provide assurance that quality, health and safety and environmental requirements are met.
Based in Dubai, this role will report to the Head of Service.
Primary tasks include:
Quality Responsibilities:
- Monitor and close NCRs within timelines through effective RCA and corrective actions.
- Maintain NCR processing time within 30 days and follow up on overdue cases.
- Submit monthly KPI reports on NCRs, CoPQ, complaints, and audit status.
- Register and investigate customer complaints and ensure timely closure.
- Support initiatives to improve Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty Score.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure closure of findings within 45 days.
- Support external audits with required documentation and evidence.
- Conduct quality checks and audits for critical vendors as per schedule; maintain calibration and inspection records and ensure compliance.
- Keep tools and equipment lists updated on the company portal.
- Maintain and update ISO 9001 procedures, records, and documentation.
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of the IMS.
- Ensure compliance with QHSE Manual, ISO requirements, and local regulations.
- Provide regular quality data and performance updates to the Head of Service; report quality trends and participate in management walks; support quality improvement programs and award initiatives.
- Ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
HSE Responsibilities:
- Follow the QHSE Manual and all global/local procedures, ensuring full compliance at all times.
- Monitor workplace Health, Safety, and Environmental conditions through daily walkthroughs and periodic inspections.
- Promote safety awareness across all locations and conduct HSE induction for all new employees.
- Report safety observations, near misses, incidents, and accidents through the company portal and maintain proper documentation; lead incident investigations in coordination with the Country Manager, including root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions.
- Conduct risk assessments for all relevant work activities and ensure the risk and environmental aspect registers are updated regularly; monitor calibration status of tools and equipment in all service stations and ensure compliance with required standards.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards and all applicable UAE local HSE regulations.
- Maintain PPE issuance records in the company portal and ensure proper use and availability of PPE at all sites.
- Deliver regular in-house HSE trainings on topics such as PPE, emergency response, hazard communication, and safe work practices.
- Manage the Permit-to-Work (PTW) process for third‑party service providers and subcontractors, ensuring all safety conditions are met.
- Communicate HSE compliance requirements, updates, and regulatory changes to the QHSE Manager on a timely basis; conduct monthly inspections of first aid boxes, eyewash stations, chemical spill kits, and other emergency equipment, and update records in the portal.
- Ensure timely updating of the tools and equipment list and proper tagging, maintenance, and condition.
- Lead the monthly management safety walkaround, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Conduct emergency drills (fire, spill, evacuation), prepare reports, and follow up on corrective actions; lead or support toolbox talks when requested and ensure all staff understand safety procedures.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the monthly HSE Award system, ensuring fairness and transparency.
- Compile and submit monthly HSE statistics such as incident rates, observations, trainings, and man‑hours; conduct HSE presentations and awareness sessions as required by the QHSE Manager.
- Participate in internal audits and support closure of findings related to the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Ensure full compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and help employees understand their responsibilities.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying HSE gaps, recommending improvements, and monitoring implementation.
- Ensure emergency preparedness at all sites, including signage, muster points, emergency contacts, and equipment readiness.
Additionally, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in the QHSE field
- NEBOSH IGC or other recognized HSE certification
- Certified Fire Fighter and First Aider
- Internal or Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
- Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office and QHSE management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
