Job summary

A leading construction company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Mechanical Quality Inspector responsible for implementing quality standards and inspections as per project requirements. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Electrical and Instrumentation, coupled with 5 to 7 years of relevant quality inspection experience, preferably approved by ADNOC. Strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and knowledge of MS Office are essential. This is a fulltime onsite position, ensuring quality compliance throughout the project's lifecycle.

Job description
Job Purpose

Responsible for all Mechanical Quality inspections carryout the construction activities with approved quality documents and drawings.

Responsible to Preparation of all type WPS PQR and WQT as per organization and Projects requirement. Maintained Welders records and update the all welding work related logs.

Reporting to all site activities on weekly and monthly basis to Lead QA/QC.

Job Responsibilities
  • Implement Project Quality Plan requirements and comply with client quality requirements.
  • Develop and Implement Inspection and test plan for the project activities
  • Preparation of mechanical works related Method Statements and follow up the implementation at site works
  • Carryout quality control inspection as per approved ITP with associated check sheets
  • Maintain quality documents compliance to ISO 9001 standard requirements
  • Forecast to inspection requirements and available resources prior to start the inspection activity
  • Raise RFI to the client for quality inspection on project activity
  • Reporting nonconformity of product and services to the quality manager
  • Monitor the implementation corrective and preventive measures on product and services to ensure fulfil ISO 9001 requirements
  • Preparation of all type welding (SMAW GMAW & GTAW) WPS PQR WQT and preparation of quality procedures and method statements.
  • Preparation of Brazing BPS BPQR BQT as per ASME Section IX
  • Conducting Welders Qualification Test as per ASME Section IX API 1104 etc.
  • Ensure and maintain the Calibration of all welding and site equipment update the log on regular basis and share to the end user.
  • Checking weld joint preparation fit up alignment & dimensions as per the drawings and project requirement.
  • Liase with construction team on quality compliance requirements.
  • Ensure the responsibilities inspection check points to be fulfilled as per approved ITP
  • Maintain quality document and submit dossier to client prior project completion.
