Job summary

InterContinental Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated Public Area Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. You will maintain cleanliness across lobby and public spaces, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.

Qualifications include experience in similar roles, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with the team. The role requires flexibility for various shifts and good English communication.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Public Area Attendant, Housekeeping Attendant, Cleaner, or similar role in hotel/hospitality.
• Experience in luxury or international hotel is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Positive, responsible, and hardworking approach.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned public areas per InterContinental brand and hotel standards.
• Keep lobby, corridors, elevators, restrooms, entrances and other spaces clean and presentable throughout the day.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, polish and clean surfaces, furniture, fixtures, glass, and floors as required.
• Regularly check restrooms for cleanliness, hygiene, and stock levels.
• Respond promptly to spills and other guest comfort or safety issues.
• Ensure high-touch areas are cleaned according to hygiene standards.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment, trolleys, storage areas, and supplies.
