Wilhelmsen Ship Services (WSS) is looking for aProject Manager Water & Energy Solution

We are currently seeking a Project Manager with experience in automation and installation equipment installation and chemical applications within the maritime industry. The Project Manager will be tasked with leading and coordinating projects from inception to completion. From preparing technical documentation training materials and final handover packages to maintaining clear consistent communication with clients classification societies and stakeholders as well as tracking KPIs managing change requests and providing regular progress reports to management. This is a unique opportunity to join a high‑performing team focused on delivery functionally reporting to the Head of Project management.

What Youll Be Doing:
  • Supporting the Head of Project Management and Business Development Managers by identifying new opportunities.
  • Leading end-to-end execution of marine projects involving automation systems equipment installation and chemical applications.
  • Defining project scope timelines and deliverables; ensuring alignment with client and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinating engineering procurement installation commissioning and handover phases.
  • Managing internal teams and external vendors to deliver efficiently and within budget.
  • Ensuring compliance with marine safety (HSE) environmental and class standards.
  • Identifying and resolving technical quality or scheduling issues proactively.
  • Overseeing FAT/SAT system integration and site acceptance processes.
  • Conducting post-project evaluations to identify key learnings and improvements.
  • Reviewing status reports modifying schedules and ensuring clear project reviews on schedule and financial performance to the Head of Project & Director.
  • Ensuring adherence to engineering procedures and achievement of KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with marine industry standards (IMO SOLAS Class IEC).
  • Working closely with classification societies to secure product approvals and certification.
  • Risk managing the projects and ensuring the final product meets the project outcomes meet intended requirements.
  • Together with the marketing manager create training & marketing materials and content on technical aspects of the Project and best practices reinforcing WSS position as industry experts.
  • Ensuring that rules and regulations are continuously monitored to identify changes that will impact the use and life cycle of existing Project.
What We believe you need to succeed:
  • Masters or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 years of maritime industry exposure within project engineering or project management experience managing electrical & automation onboard vessels and project execution
  • Knowledge of equipment installation testing & commissioning chemical applications and equipment background is preferable
  • Knowledge of automation integration and energy efficiency and chemical application
  • Strong project planning budget management and ability to manage diverse teams and deliver projects on time and within scope
  • Strong analytical skills; able to interpret and present data insights
  • Knowledge of maritime regulations and compliance requirements
  • Willingness to travel and lead projects
  • Ability to influence and mentor others in safe practices and behavior
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
