Job summary

Hill International is seeking an accomplished Project Manager to lead complex construction assignments from design through handover in our Abu Dhabi projects. The role requires strong leadership, on-site oversight, and seamless coordination with clients, consultants, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of end-to-end project experience in construction.
• Experience in consulting/PMC is mandatory.
• Residential mid-rise experience is essential.
• Experience in report writing and contractual administration.
• Must have on-site project experience from design through handover.
• Adequate work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Strong communication and management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with client representatives regarding project progress and concerns.
• Participate in planning and formulation of design alternatives and solutions.
• Develop and administer project budgets and fiscal controls and quality provisions.
• Oversee day-to-day management of the construction project.
• Review drawings and specifications for appropriateness to function and standards.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements and institutional standards.
• Direct work sequencing to expedite delivery and minimize disruption.
• Inspect and approve completed projects for conformance with standards.
• Prepare reports on operations, equipment, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by line manager.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

• Communicate with the Clients representatives continuously regarding Project Progress and
• areas of concerns.
• Participate in the planning and formulation of design alternatives and solutions for the
• construction project.
• Develop and/or administer project budgets and fiscal controls contracts and quality control
• provisions.
• Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day management of the construction project.
• Review and interpret proposed designs architectural drawings and building specifications
• for appropriateness to required function and/or institutional standard and initiates revisions
• where appropriate; advise consultants and clients as to how best to achieve required results.
• Ensure that project operations are in compliance with design specifications and with client
• requirements.
• Direct work sequencing to expedite project delivery and to minimize disruption of ongoing
• operations.
• Inspects approves and accepts completed projects for the institution ensuring conformance
• with institutional standards building and life safety codes and architectural/engineering
• specifications.
• Researches and prepares various reports pertaining to operations equipment policies
• procedures and/or other issues as appropriate.
• Informs themselves of the relevant Quality Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Policies Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Qualifications Experience Knowledge and Skills:

• A degree in civil engineering project management or any related discipline is required.
• 12 or more years of working on complex projects end-to-end within the construction field.
• Experience in consulting/PMC is mandatory
• Have previous project experience in residential mid-rise is essential
• Experience in report writing.
• Experience in contractual administration.
• Must have on-site Project experience from initial design through to handover and completion.
• Adequate work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to think ahead identify new opportunities and create new and innovative approaches to work-related issues.
• Familiar with Design (Space & Functional Analysis Operators/ Client Liaison cross-disciplinary issues/ coordination construction interfaces programming cost etc.).
• Strong Management of large teams and communication.
• Demonstrates a determination desire to succeed and a wish to progress and develop within a commercial role.
• Excellent working knowledge of Word Excel and strong user skill level within MS Office or Primavera.
