Job summary

Halian is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a key SailPoint IAM program within its Cyber Security division in Abu Dhabi. The role requires hands-on delivery expertise, strong governance, and collaboration with IT, Security, Risk, and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in project management, hands-on IAM experience, and familiarity with SailPoint IdentityIQ/IdentityNow or similar platforms, along with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience delivering large-scale technology or cybersecurity initiatives.
• Proven IAM program delivery experience (Identity Governance or Cyber Security projects).
• Strong familiarity with SailPoint IdentityIQ/IdentityNow or similar IAM platforms.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across IT, Security, Risk, and Business.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Experience in regulated industries is desirable.

Project Manager - Cyber Security

About the Opportunity

Our client is a leading financial services organisation in the UAE, recognised for its strong digital transformation agenda and significant investment in cybersecurity, identity governance, and technology modernisation initiatives.

They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Cyber Security division and lead the delivery of a strategic Identity and Access Management (IAM) programme centred around SailPoint. This role is ideal for a hands-on, delivery-focused project manager who can seamlessly integrate into an existing programme and ensure successful execution across key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a SailPoint Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) project within the Cyber Security function.
• Establish and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and budgets.
• Ensure project objectives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business requirements.
• Coordinate activities between cybersecurity teams, technology functions, business stakeholders, vendors, and system integrators.
• Facilitate governance forums, steering committees, and project status meetings.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and blockers.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular progress reporting to senior leadership.
• Ensure adherence to internal project management methodologies and governance standards.
• Drive effective communication across all workstreams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support change management and user adoption activities where required.

Required Experience

• Minimum 10 years of Project Management experience, with a proven track record delivering large-scale technology or cybersecurity projects.
• Previous experience delivering Identity & Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance, or Cyber Security programmes.
• Strong understanding of SailPoint IdentityIQ, SailPoint IdentityNow, or similar IAM platforms.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams across IT, Security, Risk, and Business functions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong project governance, planning, risk management, and reporting capabilities.
• Experience working within highly regulated industries such as banking, financial services, insurance, or government is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent Project Management certification.
• Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks and governance standards.
• Experience working with IAM technologies such as SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk, Microsoft Entra ID, or Saviynt.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance-driven environments.
