Job summary

STRAGO International is partnering with an established international manufacturer to strengthen its project delivery function.

The Project Manager will take end-to-end ownership of customer projects, translating technical specifications into actionable plans and coordinating engineering, procurement, production, quality and logistics teams to ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget and to specification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in a Project Manager role.
• Experience in Manufacturing and Oil & Gas sectors.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules and resources.
• Strong project planning, execution and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in ERP, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; fluent English; driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Project leadership from initiation to close-out, acting as customers focal point.
• Review project specs, BOMs, estimates and costing for scope and margin.
• Prepare and maintain delivery schedules with internal departments.
• Monitor progress against budgets and implement corrective actions.
• Review contractual and financial documentation and maintain auditable records.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Manage project resources and procurement activities; monitor supplier performance.
• Lead risk assessment and mitigation to protect schedule, cost and quality.
• Track progress and produce regular status reports for senior management.
• Review customer complaints and drive root-cause analysis and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, company policies, quality standards and contracts.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

STRAGO International is partnering with an established international manufacturer. With multi-regional operations and a reputation for technical quality our client is strengthening its project delivery function and is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take end-to-end ownership of customer projects.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Acting as the single point of accountability between the customer and the business you will lead projects from contract award through manufacture to final delivery. You will translate technical specifications into deliverable plans keep budgets and schedules under firm control and coordinate engineering procurement production quality and logistics teams to ensure every project is delivered safely on time within budget and to specification.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project leadership: Plan coordinate and oversee all project activities from initiation through to close-out acting as the customers focal point throughout the project lifecycle.
• Technical and commercial review: Review project specifications bills of materials (BOM) estimates and costing sheets to confirm scope feasibility and margin before execution.
• Scheduling and delivery: Prepare and maintain delivery schedules coordinating with internal departments to ensure adherence to agreed milestones.
• Budget control: Monitor progress against the project budget identify deviations early and implement corrective action.
• Contracts and documentation: Review contractual and financial documentation including Letters of Credit (LCs) flag potential issues and maintain complete auditable project records.
• Stakeholder coordination: Work closely with clients consultants vendors subcontractors and internal teams to ensure smooth well-aligned project execution.
• Procurement and resources: Manage project resources and procurement activities and monitor subcontractor and supplier performance.
• Risk management: Own the project risk assessment process identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans to minimise schedule cost and quality impacts.
• Reporting: Track project progress and produce regular clear status reports for senior management.
• Quality and customer care: Review customer complaints lead root-cause evaluation and recommend process improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Compliance: Ensure full compliance with HSE requirements company policies quality standards and contractual obligations.
• Issue resolution: Chair project meetings and resolve operational and technical issues promptly as they arise.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Essential

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a comparable Project Manager role.
• Proven experience within both the Manufacturing and Oil & Gas sectors (mandatory).
• Demonstrable track record of managing project budgets schedules and resources.
• Strong grounding in project planning execution and stakeholder management.
• Working knowledge of contract management procurement and project documentation.
• Proficiency in ERP systems AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Fluent English written and spoken.
• Valid driving licence.

Advantageous

• PMP certification and/or proficiency in Microsoft Project.
• Background in electromechanical contracting.
• Ability to communicate in the regional language of the working location.
