Our client is looking for a Project Manager based in Dubai who has a string understanding of social and mobile B2C products and who comes from a traveltech or IT background.
You must have worked in a fast paced startup environment.
Salary range: 15 000 to 20 000 AED.
- Strong understanding of social products: you’ve used them deeply and maybe even built them
- Experience in B2C mobile-first products, ideally with user-generated content or community
- Familiar with engagement loops, content feeds, notifications, and creator/user dynamics
- Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments with high ownership
Own the execution and coordination of the B2C Innovation product. Ensure smooth day-to-day delivery, clear documentation, and a sharp focus on building lovable, high-quality mobile experiences. Over time, co‑own the product strategy and business outcomes with the VP Product.
1. Execution & Sprint Ownership
- Define, prioritize, and maintain a healthy backlog with a strong mobile/social mindset.
- Break down features into lean deliverables while keeping UX intuitive and engaging.
- Lead sprint rituals and ensure all stakeholders are aligned.
- Own the accuracy and completeness of delivery across Android, iOS, and backend.
2. Social Product Thinking
- Embed social mechanics into product decisions: virality, sharing flows, content engagement, user-generated content (UGC), follower/following logic, comments, reactions, etc.
- Collaborate with the design team to craft interfaces and interactions that feel native to social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc).
- Partner with Growth/Marketing to align product flows with acquisition and engagement loops.
- Stay updated on trends in social apps and user behavior.
3. Team Enablement
- Unblock developers and designers by providing clear specs and fast responses.
- Serve as the bridge between vision and implementation.
- Ensure alignment across backend, iOS, Android, design, and QA.
4. Documentation & Clarity
- Maintain a single source of truth in Confluence for all active and upcoming features.
- Keep Jira organized, prioritized, and aligned with company objectives.
- Document product logic behind social features (feeds, ranking, content types, visibility rules).
5. Quality & Validation
- Review staging builds, validate social flows and edge cases.
- Collaborate with QA to ensure every release is aligned with spec.
- Identify inconsistencies in experience, especially around sharing and social engagement.
6. User-Centered Collaboration
- Work with marketing and product marketing on messaging, onboarding, and first‑time experiences.
- Support user interviews and feedback collection, especially for social features.
- Identify opportunities to create delight, habit, and FOMO.
7. Strategic Expansion (Phase 2)
- Co‑create product OKRs and KPIs focused on social engagement, retention, and content creation.
- Help define product roadmap and version milestones together with leadership.
