Job description

Our client is looking for a Project Manager based in Dubai who has a string understanding of social and mobile B2C products and who comes from a traveltech or IT background.

You must have worked in a fast paced startup environment.

Salary range: 15 000 to 20 000 AED.

  • Strong understanding of social products: you’ve used them deeply and maybe even built them
  • Experience in B2C mobile-first products, ideally with user-generated content or community
  • Familiar with engagement loops, content feeds, notifications, and creator/user dynamics
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments with high ownership

Own the execution and coordination of the B2C Innovation product. Ensure smooth day-to-day delivery, clear documentation, and a sharp focus on building lovable, high-quality mobile experiences. Over time, co‑own the product strategy and business outcomes with the VP Product.

1. Execution & Sprint Ownership
  • Define, prioritize, and maintain a healthy backlog with a strong mobile/social mindset.
  • Break down features into lean deliverables while keeping UX intuitive and engaging.
  • Lead sprint rituals and ensure all stakeholders are aligned.
  • Own the accuracy and completeness of delivery across Android, iOS, and backend.
2. Social Product Thinking
  • Embed social mechanics into product decisions: virality, sharing flows, content engagement, user-generated content (UGC), follower/following logic, comments, reactions, etc.
  • Collaborate with the design team to craft interfaces and interactions that feel native to social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc).
  • Partner with Growth/Marketing to align product flows with acquisition and engagement loops.
  • Stay updated on trends in social apps and user behavior.
3. Team Enablement
  • Unblock developers and designers by providing clear specs and fast responses.
  • Serve as the bridge between vision and implementation.
  • Ensure alignment across backend, iOS, Android, design, and QA.
4. Documentation & Clarity
  • Maintain a single source of truth in Confluence for all active and upcoming features.
  • Keep Jira organized, prioritized, and aligned with company objectives.
  • Document product logic behind social features (feeds, ranking, content types, visibility rules).
5. Quality & Validation
  • Review staging builds, validate social flows and edge cases.
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure every release is aligned with spec.
  • Identify inconsistencies in experience, especially around sharing and social engagement.
6. User-Centered Collaboration
  • Work with marketing and product marketing on messaging, onboarding, and first‑time experiences.
  • Support user interviews and feedback collection, especially for social features.
  • Identify opportunities to create delight, habit, and FOMO.
7. Strategic Expansion (Phase 2)
  • Co‑create product OKRs and KPIs focused on social engagement, retention, and content creation.
  • Help define product roadmap and version milestones together with leadership.
✅ What Success Looks Like
  • Daily work is unblocked, organized, and shipping consistently
  • Social features are intuitive, sticky, and aligned with platform behavior
  • Teams are aligned and product decisions are well‑documented
  • The product feels modern, fluid, and native to how users engage socially
  • Roadmap reflects a balance of vision, execution, and social‑led growth
