Job summary

Virtusa in Dubai is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead enterprise data and MI automation initiatives. You will steer cross‑functional teams across data engineering, architecture and platform squads to deliver high‑impact data pipelines and analytics projects.

Applicants should have extensive PM experience in banking/FS, strong knowledge of Databricks and Confluent Kafka, and a firm grasp of data governance and regulatory requirements (GDPR, BCBS 239, CBUAE).

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in Project Management within banking or financial services.
• Experience leading data and MI automation projects, especially Databricks and Confluent Kafka.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data pipelines and streaming tech.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams (onshore/offshore).
• Strong command of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
• Certification: PMP, Prince2 or Scrum Master.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks: BCBS 239, GDPR, CBUAE regulations.
• Understanding of data governance principles (e.g. DAMA-DMBOK).
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of enterprise data and MI automation projects using Databricks and Confluent.
• Develop detailed requirements, project plans, delivery roadmaps and work breakdown structures.
• Ensure resource allocation, budgeting and adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Manage vendors, deliverables and output quality.
• Manage issues, conflicts and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, business analysts and platform teams to align goals.
• Act as primary liaison between business units, technology teams and vendors.
• Facilitate regular updates, steering committee meetings and risk escalations.
• Oversee solution delivery on Databricks data processing, ML pipelines and analytics.
• Manage real-time data streaming pipelines via Confluent Kafka.
• Ensure alignment with data governance, security and regulatory frameworks.
• Ensure regulatory reporting data flows are compliant with local and international standards.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Risk teams on controls and audit requirements.

Job description
