A leading technology company in Abu Dhabi seeks a motivated engineer to produce and execute design specifications in the Control & Instrumentation field. Candidates should possess a relevant Bachelor's degree and demonstrate effective communication skills. Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is preferred, along with hands-on DCS/ESD technical knowledge. This role involves a significant amount of site visits for commissioning work.
Ensure that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs tools and documentation) are in place prior to commencing work.
Produce part(s) of total functional design specifications under supervision. Produces technical design specifications under supervision.
Execute technical work assignments to appropriate standards and quality systems.
Execute Test work assignments to appropriate standards and quality systems.
Execute Documentation work assignments to appropriate standards and quality systems.
Pro-actively looks to build cross discipline experience and increase knowledge through working with other engineers.
Share technical knowledge with project team supervisor own discipline and other engineering disciplines.
Report progress and technical problems to project and engineering supervisor.
Pro-actively identifies potential quality and efficiency improvements within assigned work.
Visit customer site as and when required (5075 % of his time) to undertake engineering and / or commissioning work.
Bachelors Degree in Control & Instrumentation Communications or Electrical Engineering
0 to 2 years of engineering and project execution experience with a good DCS company.
Domain skills in Refining Oil and Gas Chemical Industry or Power.
Should be able to interpret customer specifications to develop SAMA drawings for closed loop controls and Boolean logic for Open loop.
Should be able to interact with customer operations group to develop face plates and operations graphics.
Must have a good knowledge of how DCS/ESD interfaces with field instruments and control valves and switch gear.
Must communicate effectively and be able to contribute to the successful completion of projects involving 20000 hours of work.
Must be able to commission the system at site and have relevant commissioning experience.
Must be able to develop schedules based on specifications and deliver to it to schedules developed.
Must be good on Microsoft office and able to estimate man hour effort from a specification.
System skills and hands on experience on any DCS/ESD are presupposed.
Active Directory and Networking Experience is a preference.
