Job Overview
The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and completing engineering projects in accordance with established timelines, budget constraints, and technical specifications. This role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, resolving technical challenges, and maintaining seamless communication across stakeholders. The ideal candidate should possess strong engineering expertise, project coordination capabilities, and the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and manage engineering project activities from initiation to completion.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct site inspections to verify quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project standards.
- Prepare project reports, status updates, cost estimates, and material requirement schedules.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, vendors, and cross‑functional teams.
- Assist in evaluating technical proposals, vendor submissions, and engineering solutions.
- Ensure project execution aligns with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Support commissioning, testing, and handover activities of completed projects.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / related discipline).
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience in project engineering within construction, oil & gas, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
- Proven experience in project planning, execution, and coordination.
- Exposure to international standards, safety protocols, and quality systems.
Skills Required
- Strong project planning and project management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, project management tools (e.g., MS Project / Primavera).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Knowledge of industry codes, safety practices, and regulatory frameworks.
