Job Description

You as Project Business Controller will be part of Hitachi Energy. You will be expected to support the Project Manager in all financial and commercial matters and actively drive the project’s performance. Assigned to multiple projects and also supporting the OU controller with business controlling.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Drive service sales and business development activities across assigned countries and market segments (e.g., Utilities, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, EPCs, Industrial clients).
• Provide input to the Project Execution Plan on financial aspects.
• Prepare project invoices, financial accounting and reporting. Drive project cash flow and oversee currency risk and tax issues.
• Ensure correctness of project balance sheet and income statement, and manage cash flow and monthly/quarterly forecast.
• Support the Project Manager in adherence to corporate governance, integrity, assurance, internal control, group charter, country specific finance directives and instructions.
• Download financial information from HE reporting tools, consolidate and analyze the results (good experience in Excel and ability to handle large data sets).
• Support monthly closing and reporting (basic accounting finance education and a willingness to learn new skills).
• Conduct ad hoc analysis to manage costs, cash, and utilization absorptions of the OU’s/HUB.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

• Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance (preferred).
• 0-5 years of project controlling or finance experience in Energy or T&D industries.
• Customer and business-oriented with strong commercial and communication skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English required.
