Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Experience in project control/management, preferably in water, environmental, or energy sectors.
• Strong understanding of PM methodologies and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management/reporting software (MS Project, Primavera, PowerBI).
• PMP or similar certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of project plans and schedules; monitor timelines.
• Track budgets and expenditures; conduct cost analysis and forecasting.
• Identify risks; develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards; conduct audits.

About the Role

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Control Officer to support our projects within the Water, Environmental, and Energy Transition Regional Service Line. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, stakeholders, and other team members to monitor and control project performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Scheduling: Assist in the development of project plans and schedules. Monitor project timelines and milestones to ensure timely completion. Identify potential delays and propose corrective actions.
• Budget and Cost Control: Track project budgets and expenditures. Conduct cost analysis and forecasting. Prepare financial reports and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
• Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Monitor and report on risk status throughout the project lifecycle.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. Conduct regular quality audits and reviews. Implement corrective actions to address any quality issues.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders. Prepare and present project status reports. Facilitate project meetings and document key decisions and action items.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation. Generate regular progress reports and dashboards. Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.

What do we need from you

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Project Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project control or project management, preferably within the water, environmental, or energy sectors.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management/reporting software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, PowerBI).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
