Our client, a prestigious medical university in Dubai, is seeking an accomplished Head of Family Medicine (Professor) to lead their Family Medicine department. The successful candidate will hold a Consultant‑level position, with at least 10 years of teaching and practical experience post‑PhD, and will have a significant impact on both academic and clinical outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Family Medicine department, overseeing both academic and clinical teaching activities.
- Develop and implement innovative curriculum and teaching methodologies in Family Medicine.
- Mentor and guide faculty members, providing leadership in research, education, and clinical practice.
- Participate in and contribute to high‑quality research initiatives within the university and affiliated medical institutions.
- Manage departmental operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with university policies and accreditation requirements.
- Foster collaboration with other academic departments and healthcare institutions, promoting interdisciplinary learning and research.
- Deliver lectures, supervise practical sessions, and provide clinical teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Maintain an active clinical practice within affiliated hospitals or clinics, ensuring continued professional development.
- Represent the department in university committees, international conferences, and professional bodies.
Qualifications
- PhD in Family Medicine or a related field.
- A Consultant‑level professional with at least 10 years of teaching and practical experience post‑PhD.
- Extensive experience in curriculum development, medical education, and clinical training.
- Strong research background with a track record of published work in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse academic team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to foster collaborative relationships.
- Must be internationally recognized in the field of Family Medicine.
- Experience in managing accreditation processes and adhering to international educational standards.
