Job summary

Astek Middle East is seeking an experienced ML Engineer (MLOps) to take machine learning models and AI pipelines from proof of concept to scalable, reliable production deployment.

In this hands-on role, you will deploy, monitor, and optimize ML solutions across cloud and edge environments, collaborating with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, DevOps teams, and Product Managers to deliver robust, production‑ready AI systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• 5–9 years of relevant professional experience in machine learning engineering or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries (PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with MLOps tools such as MLflow, ClearML, Azure ML, or SageMaker.
• Strong understanding of deep learning, RL, and related techniques.

Responsibilities

• Model Deployment: deploy ML models and AI pipelines from development to production with CI/CD integration.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: implement monitoring and maintenance strategies for model performance.
• Model Optimization: optimize models for inference speed and efficiency (quantization, pruning, distillation).
• Data Preparation: collect, clean, preprocess, and engineer features for datasets.
• Model Training and Tuning: develop continuous or semi‑continuous training workflows and fine‑tune models.
• MLOps and Automation: contribute to automated ML pipelines and reproducible workflows.
• Cross‑functional Collaboration: work with data scientists, engineers, DevOps, and product managers.
• Documentation: maintain clear documentation of code, models, deployment workflows.
