Confidential Company in Dubai is seeking an experienced Production & Project Manager for ship repair and maritime projects. The role requires overseeing planning, quality assurance, budgeting, and cross‑functional coordination to meet tight deadlines and client specs.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture and at least 15 years in project management within the ship repair or maritime sector, delivering measurable improvements and cost controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management within the ship repair or maritime industry, showcasing a proven track record.

Responsibilities

  • Create production schedules and manage workflow to meet deadlines and specifications.
  • Implement and enforce quality control standards and procedures to ensure projects meet requirements.
  • Develop and manage production budgets, estimate costs, and implement measures to control expenses and improve profitability.
  • Supervise, motivate, and train production staff, assigning tasks and evaluating performance.
  • Determine and secure necessary resources, including raw materials, equipment, and workforce, and oversee inventory levels.
  • Organize routine maintenance and troubleshooting for production machinery and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and foster a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance production processes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency and productivity.
  • Work with other departments, such as engineering, logistics, and sales, to coordinate activities and ensure a smooth flow of operations.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare performance reports, and communicate progress and issues to upper management.
