Roles and Responsibilities
- Optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce production costs within automobile assembly lines focusing on cycle time reduction and waste elimination.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to production equipment including robotics PLCs and automated systems ensuring minimal downtime.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events and Six Sigma projects to drive operational excellence.
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules and capacity plans considering factors like material availability labor resources and equipment capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design quality and maintenance to ensure seamless integration of new products and processes.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis of production defects and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence improving product quality.
- Oversee the implementation of new technologies and automation systems in the production environment staying abreast of industry advancements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards within the production facility promoting a safe working environment.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and identifying areas for improvement.
- Train and mentor production staff on new processes equipment and safety procedures fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related field; a Masters degree is a plus.
- Have at least 5-7 years of experience in production engineering within the automotive industry demonstrating a strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Exhibit proficiency in using CAD software simulation tools and other engineering software relevant to automotive production.
- Possess strong knowledge of automotive assembly processes including stamping welding painting and final assembly.
- Be familiar with quality control systems and methodologies such as Six Sigma and statistical process control (SPC).
- Have excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrate strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide production teams.
- Be proficient in English (written and spoken); knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Show a proactive and results-oriented approach with a strong commitment to achieving production targets and deadlines.
