Roles and Responsibilities
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce production costs within automobile assembly lines focusing on cycle time reduction and waste elimination.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to production equipment including robotics PLCs and automated systems ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events and Six Sigma projects to drive operational excellence.
  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules and capacity plans considering factors like material availability labor resources and equipment capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design quality and maintenance to ensure seamless integration of new products and processes.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis of production defects and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence improving product quality.
  • Oversee the implementation of new technologies and automation systems in the production environment staying abreast of industry advancements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards within the production facility promoting a safe working environment.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Train and mentor production staff on new processes equipment and safety procedures fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • Possess a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related field; a Masters degree is a plus.
  • Have at least 5-7 years of experience in production engineering within the automotive industry demonstrating a strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Exhibit proficiency in using CAD software simulation tools and other engineering software relevant to automotive production.
  • Possess strong knowledge of automotive assembly processes including stamping welding painting and final assembly.
  • Be familiar with quality control systems and methodologies such as Six Sigma and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Have excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide production teams.
  • Be proficient in English (written and spoken); knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Show a proactive and results-oriented approach with a strong commitment to achieving production targets and deadlines.
