Job description
JOB SUMMARY

To build a B2B Commerce Platform that will transform how SMEs in the UAE buy, sell and grow. To build a marketplace for business which is verified, trusted and digital where companies can find reliable suppliers, purchase in bulk, access trade credit and manage procurement.

As the Product Manager, you will lead the vision, development and launch of the marketplace platform from day zero, working closely with engineering, design, data and operations to build intuitive and scalable digital workflows for SMEs and suppliers across the UAE. This is a foundational product role that directly influences marketplace adoption, engagement and long-term multi verticality.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy

The product manager is responsible,

  • To build a scalable multi-vendor B2B marketplace with buyer and seller portals.
  • Will plan the strategic roadmap and will work to achieve the product vision by collaborating with cross‑functional teams (engineering, design, marketing).
  • Will own discovery, ordering, repeat purchase flows and procurement workflows for SMEs.
  • Build intuitive onboarding flows for suppliers (including catalogue setup, pricing, inventory and performance dashboards).
Business

The product manager should,

  • Work towards translating business workflows into intuitive digital experiences.
  • Should leverage on customer discovery, usage data and seller feedback to drive product market fit.
  • Collaborate with Platform and Finance PM to ensure seamless integration across payments, logistics, notifications, and reporting.
  • Use data to measure funnel performance, marketplace liquidity, supplier health, and repeat purchase behaviour.
  • Develop a deep understanding of SME buyer behaviour and supplier operational constraints.
  • Identify and remove friction points across the supply and demand sides of the marketplace.
  • Prepare the marketplace for scalability for multi‑vertical expansion and cross‑border initiatives.
Processes

The product manager will work on building the product from the scratch and also collaborate with teams to embed credit and compliance within the product. Build intuitive onboarding flows for suppliers (including catalogue setup, pricing, inventory and performance dashboards).

People & Talent

The product manager will work closely with designers and developers to build the product. The product manager should have,

  • Deep understanding of B2B commerce, procurement workflows and marketplace dynamics.
  • Experience building end‑to‑end product experiences from discovery to post‑purchase.
  • Ability to simplify complex B2B user journeys into clear, intuitive flows.
  • Experience with taxonomy, catalogue systems, onboarding workflows or dashboards is a plus.
  • Strong ability to work within a small team with high accountability and cross‑functionally across ops, engineering, design and external partners.
  • Analytical mindset – able to interpret data, KPIs and funnels and drive decisions grounded in insight.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and build from ground up with constrained resources.
  • Comfortable running discovery, writing strong PRDs and managing iterative delivery cycles.
  • Experience in the UAE or MENA region and familiarity with SME buying behaviour is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of APIs, integrations and platform thinking is beneficial.
  • 6‑8+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B, procurement, marketplaces or e‑commerce.
  • Track record of building or scaling multi‑sided platforms or B2B SaaS tools.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a customer‑centric mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Experience working with lean teams in fast‑paced environments.
Risk Management

The product manager should ensure marketplace integrity by overseeing product data accuracy, guaranteeing product safety and quality, and implementing security measures to build customer trust and maintain platform compliance.

Governance

The product manager should ensure that the platform adheres to the business rules and legal standards.

Qualification
  • Education: MBA or Equivalent.
