Job summary

EthosEnergy in Abu Dhabi, UAE seeks a procurement professional to source materials, equipment and services, issue quotes, place orders, and drive on-time delivery while maximizing value.

You will vet suppliers, track KPIs, support projects including shutdowns, and liaise with QA and Finance. A Bachelor's in Business or Engineering, strong English, ERP experience, and negotiation skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain price and delivery quotations from appropriate suppliers.
• Place Purchase Orders with suppliers and expedite deliveries.
• Maintain supplier listings and vet new suppliers with QA.
• Liaise with Finance to ensure on-time payments.
• Support projects such as Shutdown activities and procure manpower as needed.
• Track supplier performance with KPIs and raise NCs where applicable.
• General housekeeping of the Purchasing process.

Job description

Responsible for the sourcing of materials, equipment and services in a cost effective and ethical manner, considering maximization of value through product evaluation and competitive bidding, service and timely delivery, quality, inventory positions, operations requirements and in accordance with the company guidelines. Build and maintain effective open communication to all internal customers to ensure that they are informed of all procurement matters which relevant to them.

Job Responsibilities

• Obtain price and delivery quotations from appropriate suppliers primarily supporting the business needs.
• Maintain up to date and relevant supplier listings and source new suppliers as required, liaising with the QA department to ensure new suppliers are vetted in line with the prescribed criteria.
• Maintain good working relationships with suppliers, which may involve visiting their facilities, meeting on Company premises.
• Liaise with Finance Department to ensure on-time payment of suppliers.
• Place Purchase Orders with suppliers.
• Expedite on time deliveries.
• Manage Purchase Orders through to accepted delivery of goods and services.
• Processing advance payment request for suppliers, include requisitions to various departments to arrange the same.
• Provide purchasing support for specific projects such as Shutdown activity, which may include procuring large quantities of manpower.
• Track supplier performance through agreed KPIs and raise NCs where applicable.
• General housekeeping of the Purchasing process in Inflight.
• Review of material certificates together with QA personnel and choose appropriate material as per customer specification and production requirement.
• Responsible for the general housekeeping and cleaning of area of working.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Knowledge

• Finance Exposure and ability to understand cost drivers.
• Fully conversant with a broad range of materials managements and procurement activities.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of team in a safe, friendly and efficient manner.

Experience

• Previous experience or understanding of an engineering workshop environment is desirable.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent job experience preferred.
• Demonstrate track record of previous experience.
• Negotiation and Contract Management.

Physical Requirements

• Light physical effort or significant manual dexterity.
• Primary functions require sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and operate office equipment.
• Sitting for prolonged period of time.
