Job Description

The Procurement Manager - MEP is responsible for overseeing all procurement activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems within the project. This includes developing procurement strategies, managing sourcing activities, conducting technical evaluations, leading negotiations, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring effective delivery management. The role is critical in securing the timely availability of MEP materials and services in alignment with project budgets, quality standards, and schedules. Operating across multiple zones, the Procurement Manager - MEP serves as a key link between engineering, commercial, logistics, and execution teams.

Responsibilities
  • Develop project-specific MEP procurement plans aligned with the construction strategy.
  • Identify, prequalify, and engage vendors, subcontractors, and manufacturers.
  • Float RFQs, evaluate quotations, and conduct technical-commercial assessments.
  • Negotiate contracts and issue purchase orders and subcontracts in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on material approvals, submittals, and sample coordination.
  • Expedite deliveries, monitor lead times, and maintain accurate delivery schedules.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues concerning quality, delays, or documentation.
  • Maintain vendor databases and regularly evaluate supplier performance.
  • Support procurement audits and prepare closeout documentation.
  • Adhere to company policies, the code of conduct, conflict-of-interest guidelines, and all applicable standards, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information and sensitive data.
  • Ensure full compliance with the company's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies.
  • Submit balanced scorecards accurately and on time.
  • Maintain complete supporting documentation to substantiate performance against all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) outlined in the Balanced Scorecard (BSC).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS, PMP, or CSCP are preferred.
  • Knowledge of FIDIC-based contracts and vendor contract management is an advantage.
