Job Description
Black & Grey HR is hiring a seasoned Procurement Manager for a high-growth manufacturer in the beverages ecosystem. Your mission: lock in the right suppliers, the right materials, at the right cost — without breaking production flow.
What you’ll drive
- Own end-to-end procurement for ingredients, packaging, and finished goods: sourcing, RFx, cost analysis, contracting, and supplier performance.
- Category strategies for core inputs (sweeteners, concentrates/flavours, stabilizers, dairy/alt‑dairy inputs, water treatment chemicals) and primary/secondary packaging (aseptic cartons, PET/HDPE, glass, caps/closures, shrink, labels, pallets).
- Cost + continuity: build multi‑sourcing, hedging/indexation where relevant, and risk playbooks for seasonality, commodity swings, FX, and logistics disruptions.
- S&OP alignment: partner with Supply Chain, Production, Planning, R&D and Quality to match buys with demand signals, NPD timelines, and shelf‑life constraints.
- Supplier excellence: qualify, audit, and develop vendors; implement QBRs with KPIs on OTIF, quality PPM, cost savings, and innovation.
- Market intelligence: track commodity indices, resin and paper trends, freight lanes, duties, and regulatory shifts; convert insights into action.
- Team leadership: coach buyers/category leads; standardize playbooks, drive compliance, and raise the bar on analytics.
- Standards & compliance: ensure alignment with HACCP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000, BRCGS, Halal (and where applicable SFDA/ESMA/FSSAI) across suppliers and materials.
Requirements
- 10+ years in procurement within Beverages/Dairy/Alt‑Dairy/RTD or adjacent FMCG manufacturing with similar inputs and packaging complexity.
- Proven wins in beverage ingredients and packaging sourcing (aseptic/PET/HDPE/glass; closures & labels).
- Strong grasp of manufacturing realities: line changeovers, MOQ/MFQ, yields, spoilage, shelf‑life, cold‑chain, and hygiene zones.
- A-grade negotiation, should‑costing, TCO thinking, and supplier governance.
- Fluent with ERP (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics), e‑sourcing suites, and advanced Excel / Power BI.
- Comfortable operating under pressure, managing priorities across plants, SKUs, and launches.
- Bachelor’s in Business/Supply Chain; Master’s in Supply Chain/Procurement preferred.
Benefits
