The Procurement Manager will primarily be responsible for formulating and driving a consistent approach towards group sourcing and maximizing savings. This involves team management, contract negotiation, pricing, cost management, policies, processes, and reporting.
Key Areas of Responsibility include:
- Build, maintain, train, and develop a procurement team that supports growth for Chef Middle East (CME) regionally.
- Sourcing and supply across all CME categories and branch offices.
- Contract tendering, negotiation, implementation, and management.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities to enhance CME's profitability.
- Develop and build relationships with existing suppliers and create relationships with new suppliers.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Develop criteria and checklists to meet CME’s requirements in terms of product specification, quality, service, and reliability standards. Help the procurement team evaluate suppliers' proposals and measure their performance.
- Resolve logistics, supply, and product specification and quality issues concerning incoming supply with suppliers.
- Analyze and evaluate product pricing trends on existing and new products to identify purchasing opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments (Sales, Category, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Operations, HR) to achieve complete delivery and maximize opportunities within CME markets.
- Develop processes to standardize and maximize process efficiency and control of internal operations.
- Engage in business process engineering and ensure compliance. Collaborate across divisions to improve procurement-related processes and procedures.
