Job summary

ADASI is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to lead the development of mission-critical avionics software. You will design and implement real-time embedded code for safety-critical aerospace systems, working closely with hardware and systems teams.

The role requires deep C/C++ expertise, ARM/STM32 familiarity, and DO-178C/DO-254 awareness, with a focus on reliability, performance, and thorough verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master/PhD preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of embedded software development experience, preferably in aerospace or safety-critical industries.
• Strong hands-on C and C++ for embedded systems; deep understanding of ARM and STM32; low-level hardware interfacing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for avionics and aerospace systems.
• Implement real-time software with low latency, high reliability, and deterministic performance.
• Collaborate with system engineers to translate requirements into embedded code; integrate with hardware and perform testing.
• Develop and maintain documentation including design specifications, code, and test results; ensure safety standards DO-178C/DO-254 compliance.
• Optimize memory, power, and execution efficiency; follow coding standards and perform structured debugging.
