Job summary

First Point Group is seeking a Principal ELV Engineer for Abu Dhabi to lead design, coordination and delivery of mission-critical ELV systems within large data centre projects. You will act as the technical authority for ELV disciplines and drive cross-discipline collaboration through concept to handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree advantageous.
• Min 15 years' ELV design/delivery experience in consultancy or mission-critical environments.
• Experience delivering complex Data Centre, Hyperscale, Colocation or Mission Critical facilities.
• Ability to lead multiple concurrent projects with quality and schedule adherence.
• ELV systems experience: structured cabling, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, BMS, DCIM, PA, intercom, IPTV, SMATV.
• Strong knowledge of Tier III/Tier IV resilience and international standards.
• Knowledge of standards: TIA-942, BICSI, NFPA, NEC, BS, IEEE.
• Design authority/lead consultant experience; governance and reviews.
• Strong client-facing skills with stakeholders; cross-discipline coordination.
• Experience reviewing specs, calculations, drawings, BIM/Revit, vendor submissions.
• Experience supporting proposals, bids, and client presentations.
• Middle East exposure and local authority familiarity beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, coordination and delivery of ELV systems across data centre projects from concept to handover.
• Act as principal technical authority for ELV infra including CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, BMS, DCIM, PA, Intercom, IPTV, SMATV.
• Develop ELV design strategies and architectures for Tier III/IV facilities.
• Provide technical leadership; review calculations, reports, specs, drawings, and BOQs.
• Drive coordination between ELV, Electrical, ICT, Mechanical, Architectural and Structural teams.
• Lead design reviews, workshops and client presentations; provide expert guidance.
• Ensure compliance with standards (TIA-942, BICSI, NFPA, NEC; BS, IEEE).
• Oversee quality control, peer reviews, and mentoring of teams.
• Support construction, commissioning and integrated testing; resolve issues.
• Engage vendors to evaluate technologies and deliver value-engineered solutions.
• Contribute to bids, proposals and client pursuits with technical input.
