Job summary

Danat Al Emarat Women & Children Hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking a General Practitioner – Post-natal to provide high-quality medical care to women during the post-natal period. The role focuses on clinical assessment, monitoring, education, and coordination with obstetrics, nursing, and pediatric teams to support safe recovery after delivery.

The successful candidate will hold a MBBS/MBChB equivalent with DOH Abu Dhabi licence eligibility or holding, and demonstrate excellent communication,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent) from a recognised medical institution.
• Eligibility for or holding a valid DOH Abu Dhabi licence as a General Practitioner.
• Experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology, post-natal care, or women’s health is desirable.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient-management skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare team and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical assessment and care for post-natal patients.
• Conduct post-delivery clinical reviews and monitor recovery.
• Identify and escalate postpartum complications when needed.
• Coordinate with Obstetrics & Gynecology, nursing, midwifery, and pediatrics for continuity of care.
• Educate patients on post-natal recovery and follow-up care.
