Job Description

The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in Solar Energy and Desalination. The candidate’s duties include managing the project's day-to-day activities, conducting laboratories and numerical experiments, and publishing research findings in refereed journals. The position is from a research project funded by the university research office. The contract will be till Dec. 31 and can be renewed one year more, subject to the performance and publications. The salary will be 7000 – 10000 AED, based on the publication record and experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Mechanical, Chemical, renewable, or Aerospace engineering or a relevant field.
• Good technical and writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good experience in CAD software
• Experimental or numerical experience in solar desalination, adsorption desalination, solar still, phase change materials, thermoelectric materials, interfacial desalination, or releated field.
• Good publications record.
