Key Responsibilities

• Lead independent research projects involving generative AI for materials discovery and optimization
• Develop machine learning models to establish structure–property relationships for advanced materials
• Apply AI and ML techniques to study materials performance under extreme conditions
• Collaborate with researchers from the Smart Materials Lab and the Center for Smart Engineering Materials
• Coordinate closely with experimental scientists for validation of computational models and materials applications
• Publish research findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present results at international scientific conferences
• Support scientific workshops and interdisciplinary collaboration initiatives across research teams
• Assist in supervising undergraduate students and PhD researchers within laboratory projects
• Participate actively in additional strategic projects within the Smart Materials Lab

Ideal Profile

• PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline
• Within the first five years after completion of PhD
• Strong expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning for scientific applications
