Job description

To prepare sample of polishing for the approval of customer and once approved organize best quality painting and polishing of the furniture or any other product ordered by the customers in order to meet customers specification and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist Charge hand-Paint Shop in preparing of surfaces, 1st coat, 2nd coat & top coat.
• Prepare Samples finishes required for client/consultant approval.
• Prepare color mixture required as per the approved sample.
• Examine the material thoroughly before starting the polishing job & arrange to fill the hole, if any, scrub and brush the surface to make it clean and smooth to apply color and polish.
• Carry out the painting and polishing jobs to ensure high quality finish & keep paint shop supervisor posted on the progress of work.
• Ensure quality and standard painting and polishing work has been carried out which meets project requirement/specification.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification and Continued Education: Trade Certificate in Painting and Polishing From a Carpentry/joinery Institute/workshop.
• Years of Experience: 3-4 years experience in the same trade.
• Good knowledge of different type of coloring and polishing of furniture and other products gained through formal training or work experience.
