Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Specialist Project Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead and coordinate engineering teams, ensuring planning, execution, and completion of complex projects for a high-profile client. This role requires a proven track record in mega EPC/EPCM environments, strong change management, and effective interface management with contractors and ADNOC projects PMC.

You will mentor engineers, manage technical scope, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the specified

Qualifications

• Experience with mega EPC/EPCM delivery environments is required.
• Experience on ADNOC projects and PMC is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of change management and scheduling.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Ensure successful project delivery by leading engineering teams managing technical scope controlling quality cost schedule mitigating risks and coordinating stakeholders client contractors ultimately delivering the project on time within budget and to specified standards acting as the main technical liaison for the client

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Typically requires 15 years in a project delivery environment
• Experience in mega EPC EPCm project is required
• Previous experience with ADNOC Projects PMC would be an advantage but not limitation
• Deep understanding of technical work scopes and commercial aspects of projects
• Able to use conditions of contract to support decisions on schedules key milestones and change management
• Has good working and application knowledge of specifications and standards
• Extensive experience in delivering to internal customers including other Engineering disciplines
• Familiar with change management practices and able to robustly manage change
• Has an expert knowledge of standards procedures and work practices follows project execution flow chart developing skills in project and technical execution
• Expert ability in application of the procedures and work practices which define and govern Engineering Management and Project Engineering deliverables
• Able to lead Project Engineering team able to manage between Engineering Discipline Groups
• Good communicator in leading work effort motivates team strong positive and active in solutions and proactive attitude
• Competent at managing technical matters and interfaces with Third Parties
• Able to manage and enhance performance and build effective team

Project Deliverables

Oversees a team which manages and coordinates engineering multidiscipline inputs and deliverables across multiple execution centers including workshare high value engineering centers Appraises the Project Engineering team of the key execution principles and the contractual basis of the project Prepares Discipline Design Instruction prepares and checks Project Engineering Manpower Plans prepares multidiscipline contract requisition scopes Prepares and checks Project Engineering Manpower Plans
